Species List: 04-02-2019, Fish Cage up river, La Balsa Park, Mooloolah River, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Qld.

20 species sighted at Fish Cage up river, La Balsa Park, Mooloolah River, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Qld, 04-02-2019.

A single solo shore entry dive by Gary of 212 minutes. Maximum depth 6.0 m, 27 C water temperature and 6+ m viz.

With the water being so clear another dive was in order. This time a nice long solo one. The Aeolids came out to play. From under a rock egg masses were found on a bryzoan. Next to the eggs is an unknown doris nudibranch. Bob Burn thinks the egg masses belong to a species of Onchidoris...have to look harder next time. Another live Retusa sp. was also found 3 mm shell length.

Species List: 02-02-2019, Rotunda, La Balsa Park, Mooloolah River, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Qld.

21 species sighted at Rotunda, La Balsa Park, Mooloolah River, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Qld, 02-02-2019.

A single shore entry dive by Gary, Kelly and Gail of 184 minutes. Maximum depth 5.4 m, 27 C water temperature and 10+ m viz.

This dive was early morning and the water looked very clear. On the bottom the water clarity was great. Again the river does not disappoint. Interesting species were recorded with a slow start. The numbers of Flabellina rubrolineata have dropped away. Phyllodesmium opalescens is always a visual treat to find.
