Species List: TJ's Boulders, Currimundi Reef, Sunshine Coast, 18-03-2014

30 species found at TJ's Boulders, Currimundi Reef, Sunshine Coast.
Terry and David on this excursion consisting of 1 x 84 minute and 1 x 73 minute dives in water depths of 17m to 20m. 6m viz, 26C water temp and a little surge.

We were hopeful of some easing of the heavy swell conditions of the weekend and a prior observation of the Caloundra Bar confirmed that hope. The bar was easily negotiated and we headed north to Currimundi and out to a site that is a little deeper called TJ's Boulders. The top 10m of water was quite clean but under that and down to the bottom was still settling out from the heavy ground swell. There were both large and fine particles contributing to the reduction of the viz. Nevertheless surface conditions were ideal. Some nice aeolids were found contributing more than a third of the overall total.
