Julie, David Hill and David on this excursion consisting of 1 x 98 minute and 1 x 88 minute dives in water depths from 8m to 14m. 15m viz, 22C water temp and little surge.
With the swell running at over 1.5m and having an aversion to deep short dives we opted to dive in the lee on the western side of Flinders Reef. No current, little surge and good viz however did not make up for the lack of nudibranchs at this particular site on the reef. Finding about 6 each dive also does not reflect the effort put into the search. About a third of species found were Thuridilla.
