Species List: 01-08-2017, Kings Beach Boat Ramp (subtidal), Caloundra, Sunshine Coast, Queensland

5 species sighted at Kings Beach Boat Ramp (subtidal), Caloundra, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, 01-08-2017

Gary and David on this single shore entry dive of 97 minutes. Maximum depth 5.5 m, 19 C water temperature, up to 8 m viz, and surge.

Reasonable visibility was enjoyed but the surge made composition difficult until we reached 4 to 5 metres depth. The Umbraculum umbraculum was a special find. Plenty of their preferred sponge species were sighted and even one that was partially consumed before we finally happened upon the slug itself.
