32 species sighted at Fish Cage from Split Rock, Mooloolah River, La Balsa Park, Buddina, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. 24-08-2023.

A single shore entry dive with Gary and David of 200 minutes. Maximum depth 6.0 m, 21 C water temperature, 8+ m viz.

On this dive we got video footage done for the doco. While we were doing that some fantastic finds were made. David went high I went low. A new Niparaya was recorded which made my day until David showed me Goniobranchus sp. 6 mulling around a rather large hydroid. Upon closer inspection there was a Tenellia sp. 44 tuck up inside and also a stringy pinkish egg mass which I knew was from Notobryon wardi (Come-back-species), but where was it? After closer inspection I noticed an indent in the rock and gave it a poke, there it was! I carefully pulled it out for pics and put it back, WOW! The very smallest Idaliadoris maugeansis was recorded at probably 1-2 mm. Then there was Favorinus tsuruganus another Come-back-species! And then there was a nice sized Jorunna parva another Come-back-species. Great dive to say the very least as we get into spring!
