Species List: 17-03-2025, Route 66 and back, Mooloolah River, La Balsa Park, Buddina, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.

15 species sighted at Route 66 and back, Mooloolah River, La Balsa Park, Buddina, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. 17-03-2025.

A single solo shore entry dive with Gary of 181 minutes, 1.6 m, maximum depth 5.7 m, 26 C water temperature, up to 4 m viz.

The cyclone, wind and rain have passed and waiting for the weekend to go away where the water has gone from total darkness to 4 m vis in 7 days, perfect! The find of the week is finding two Doris immonda from under a rock on yellow encrusting sponge on bryzoan. What a surprise! Murphydoris cobbi is still most common. It was nice to see Facelina sp. 11 and Tenellia sp. 23 again. Species count is down but that's ok. I am very happy that the fresh water did not touch the bottom and that all seems healthy. Sand continues to march into the river. The Fish Cage will be gone real soon as well as High Rise and the rock next to it. And the water temp has dropped a little.
