A single solo shore entry dive with Gary of 321 minutes. Maximum depth 5.8 m, 27 C water temperature, up to 6 m viz.

First day of the week a hot summer day 1.4 m tidal flow...perfect for Toilet Block! I could hear the dredger and the vis suffered 1-2 m but up close perfect! Many flatworms were recorded today! The tiny Tenellia sp.s were out in force. The beautiful Tenellia sp. 71 was recorded, another Come-Back-Species! For me recording two live Weinkauffia reliqua were the tops, another Come-Back-Species! The were some very healthy golden hydroids but no T. sibogae. Also appearing in the river are Feather Stars, I have never seen then in the river before...does that mean the river is healthy??

18 species sighted at Route 66, Mooloolah River, La Balsa Park, Buddina, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. 10-01-2023.

A single solo shore entry dive with Gary of 316 minutes. Maximum depth 6.3 m, 27 C water temperature, 6-8 m viz.

A nice little dive before the weather closes in. This was an enjoyable one for sure. The sun light made looking at the sand very detailed. First rock Idaliadoris maugeansis. The find for me was Costasiella usagi another come-back-species. After turning over a rock in front of the Rotunda channel marker another new species was recorded, Sclerodoris sp. 16 and there were two animals. Good one!
