Species List: Nudi Plateau on Currimundi Reef, Sunshine Coast, 09-05-2016.

31 species sighted at Nudi Plateau on Currimundi Reef, Sunshine Coast.

Gary & David on this excursion consisting of 1 x 86 minute and 1 x 82 minute dives in water depths from 14.5 m to 17.5 m. 8 m viz, 24 C water temp and some surge. Although unable to dive himself Terry skippered us out and provided invaluable surface support.

It was our original intention to explore some other sites in proximity to Nudi Ledge however it transpired they were very close to the same site we dived last week. We did not see as many species as last time however this is most probably a result of having only half the number of divers searching. Nevertheless we did manage to find a species new to our list - Phyllidiella annulata. If truth be told we did not recognise it as such until we reviewed our images post dive. It may very well be that we have overlooked this species previously.
