13 species sighted at Sunreef Nudibranch Day, Trench north wall, Gneering Shoals, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. 14-04-2024.
A double dive boat entry outing with Gary, Suren and Holly (chartered with private guild) of two 50 minute dives, maximum depth 18.5 m, 25 C water temperature, up to 6 m viz.
After a little time of inclement weather our Nudibranch Day finally got out. A 1 m swell turned out to be smaller than expected and little wind and no surface current. This trip was going to be called off because there were only two people on the load. The mother decided that was enough and chartered the boat with me as a private guild...magic does happen. Some very slow searching yielded some special finds, namely what appears to be 4 New Species.
