16 species sighted at upriver Rotunda, La Balsa Park, Mooloolah River, Mooloolaba, Qld. 20-05-2021.
A single shore entry dive with Gary, Tracey and Harvey of 190 minutes. Maximum depth 5.2 m, 19/20 C water temperature, up to 2 m viz.
The big swells are coming so we decided to take a chance. It was unchanged and still lots of fluff in the water column. Plus the 1.5 m tidal flow seemed like a 1.8! On this dive I wanted to check out the Cratina pawarshindeorum population. Lots of egg masses! Also recorded two Cratena lineata and Flabellina lotos eggs on the Birthday sculpture at the base of Big Rock! Winter water is here!
