13 species sighted at Fish Cage and back, Mooloolah River, La Balsa Park, Buddina, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. 23-07-2026.
A single solo shore entry dive with Gary of 88 minutes, 1.4 m, maximum depth 5.0 m, 19 C water temperature, up to 4 m viz.
After a month off and a PNG trip and a 4 m swell with 35 kt winds it was time to dive the river. The water was very blue BUT there was a huge amount of silt. The water temp was a cool 19 C and a perfect sunny day. From under the half bucket was a bryozoan with an eg mass. I collected it when I got home I found a 12 mm Kaloplocamus peludo. A pleasant surprise! The dive was short because I am working on the third edition of Colemans book. BTW I recorded all I found.
