Species List: 23-10-2018, Clown Reef, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Qld

36 species sighted at Clown Reef, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Qld, 23-10-2018.

David, Terry and Gary on this excursion consisting of 1 x 70 minute and 1 x 65 minute dives in water depths up to 18.9 m, up to 6 m viz, 22 C water temp.

After 11 days of imclement weather the sun finally came out to play. There was some swell but that dropped and we thought go deeper, and so we did. Despite the surge we did manage to find 36 species and trying to shoot small animals can be quite challenging. Tenellia melanobrachia in its stripped coral home was great to find, this one was a black colour-form. Finding a small Crimora edwardsi from under a rock was another great find. Halgerda albocristata was also found from under a rock.
