25 species sighted at Toilet Block, La Balsa Park, Mooloolah River, Mooloolaba, Sunshine Coast, Qld, 16-08-2019.

A single shore entry dive by Gary and Chris of 144 minutes. Maximum depth 6.7 m, 19 C water temperature and 12 m viz.

Another beautiful winters morning...let's go diving! This one surely didn't disappoint. Finding, what is considered a temperate species, Flabellina poenicia in the river in Queensland still has me surprised. At 13 mm with it's characteristic purple cheek patches this looks like a new record for Queensland and our 818th species. A yellow colour-form of Discodoris cebuensis was found from under a rock. Flabellina sp. 4, which hasn't been seen in a while, was also recorded. Another great find was right after we descended, a 2 mm Elysia coodgeensis and Philinopsis speciosa.
