A single shore entry dive by Gary and David of 183 minutes. Maximum depth 5.8 m, 20 C water temperature and up to 8 m viz.
With winter almost at an end it was time for an early morning dive at Fish Cage. The vis had dropped off a little but still nice conditions. Finding a 3 mm Okenia sp. 7 (whether or not it is the same as our Goniodoridella sp. 4 remains to be seen, with Marta Pola to confirm. Marta has comfirmed my ID as an Okenia species because Goniodoridella species have smooth rhinophores (Gosliner NSSI-2). Needless to say she was very excited. A 3 mm Costasiella kuroshimae was also recorded and with it brought happiness. Another new Gymnodoris species was found as well, it is similar but different from ones we already have. One thing that was a surprise to me was finding a Flabellina lotos with what appears to be "furry" cerata. Another great river outing.
