20 species sighted at Rotunda upriver, La Balsa Park, Mooloolah River, Sunshine Coast, Qld. 14-09-2021.
A single solo shore entry dive with Gary of 122 minutes. Maximum depth 5.3 m, 21 C water temperature, up to 6 m viz.
Well today's dive was cut short because of an anticipated broken zip leak. The right arm and left chest got the brunt of it and out I went! But did manage to record some nice nudibranchs. It was interesting seeing Trapania vitta actually eating with it's buccal mass extended. Three species seemed to be everywhere. The highlight was recording Kaloplocamus sp. 3 again as well as Goniobranchus splendidus.
Upon exiting the river there was a westerly blowing with what seemed like 40 kt gusts!
