14 species sighted at Toilet Block, Mooloolah River, La Balsa Park, Buddina, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. 13-01-2022.
A single solo shore entry dive with Gary of 242 minutes. Maximum depth 6.4 m, 27 C water temperature, up to 2 m viz.
Just another beautiful midweek dive. The last dive here was in June 2021. The river is a transparent brown and we know what that means. There was plenty of viz for searching. The amount of animals and species has dropped dramatically. The highlight was recording Roboastra luteolineata for the first time in the river! Finding Pteraeolidia semperi and Diversidoris aurantionodulosa was great. The challenge was met with another new record for the river. The new bubbble shell is confirmed by Bob Burn as another undescribed Atys species.
