Julie, Terry, Gary and David on this single shore entry dive, the first for the new year, of 135 minutes. Maximum depth 6.1 m, 26 C water temperature and 3 m viz.
The whole team joined up to enjoy our first dive of the new year. Conditions offshore have turned rough for the rest of the week but we can still enjoy the river providing there is not excessive rainfall to cause runoff from the river catchment. Mostly the usual suspects to report from this dive except for the totally unexpected find of a single specimen of Trapania scurra. Of course we should no longer be surprised at the unusual species turning up in the river considering those we have already found - including the closely related Trapania miltabrancha. Both are most probably new records for Australia.
