Julie, Terry, Gary and David on this single shore entry dive, of 136 minutes. Maximum depth 6.5 m, 26 C water temperature and 3 m viz.
The tidal flow was not strong and the visibility was accordingly low. A good number of species sighted. Liloa sp. 2 found by sieving in the silt at the bottom of the channel. Costasiella kuroshimae has not been found in the river previously, Flabellina sp. 3 only once before as has Trapania scurra. The interesting discovery was Jorunna sp. 2. This species has an interesting history on our site. Originally found on the Rockwall Ledges just outside the river back in 2005 it became confused with other similar looking specimens that were later changed to Jorunna ramicola and so Jorunna sp. 2 was deleted. This find brings to light that error and Jorunna sp. 2 is now resurrected.
