Julie, Terry, Gary and David on this excursion consisting of 1 x 98 minute and 1 x 83 minute dives in water depths from 12 m to 15.5 m. 5 m viz , 23 C water temp and a little surge.
We headed to the Outer Gneerings at first in perfect conditions only to find a 2 to 3 knot current surging through the site when we dropped anchor. Although the water was an inviting deep blue colour fighting currents is not our preferred way to dive so we headed in to Old Woman Island where the vis was much reduced but the slugs nevertheless did not disappoint. In particular the Hypselodoris sp. 4 was a rare find as was the Tritoniopsis elegans with the blue colouration to the gill tips.
